At Plain English Websites we believe the first question to answer when conceiving your website is what do you want it to achieve?
The second question to answer when conceiving your website is what do you want it to achieve?
The third question……
Okay, you get the point.
Once you have answered that crucial question we will design your website based on the following principles.
Get the Name Right. Choose the right website name. We’re always happy to advise on the best available website names.
Keep it Simple. Website visitors tend to have itchy mouse fingers
and can’t wait to move on to something new. It is always tempting for a website designer to want to include all the latest gizmos and effects. We believe that these are usually unnecessary distractions that turn website visitors off and encourage them to move on.
Less is usually more. An elegantly designed website is not afraid to use the space. A crowded website tends to look like a Moroccan bazaar. Unless your website is representing a Moroccan bazaar there is no need to fill every square inch of screen.
Guide the Eye. Most websites follow the same basic layout design elements because these have been proven to be effective. We will ensure that your website follows
these basic layout design elements.
Make the typography work. The choice of font is all important. We always ensure that the optimum web safe font is used throughout your site.
Let Google find it. Every word on every page of your website is a key word since every word on every page of your website is logged by Google. We will ensure that your website is content rich without being repetitive.
